Research into the problems impacting groundwater systems, potable water treatment, and industrial water handling continues daily at Water Systems Engineering. Our consulting staff actively participates in local, state, and national forums for the industry, developing new standards, innovative approaches, and testing new theories to identify problems early and develop operational procedures and system designs to reduce maintenance costs, downtime, and failure.
The Water Systems Engineering Laboratory also conducts contract research of waterborne deposits, associated technology, and microbial growth. Past projects have included corrosion rates of various metals used in the water industry, fouling rates of construction materials, as well as assessments of various cleaning and monitoring technologies. The results of this work have been used in the design and development of new facilities, products, and the alteration of active maintenance and water treatment. Feel free to contact us for additional information and to discuss your research needs.
